Re: Proliant DL380 G3 Server intermittent restart
Hi.
Mostly theese kinds of errors have something to do with drivers writing in each others memoryspace. do you have a dump file to analyse? if you do try to analyse it here is a good link. http://www.memecode.com/docs/minidump.php
and if its something with memory and drivers add the non-microsoft drivers to special pools it usualy solves the problems for me.
If you run verifier.exe and â Display existing settingsâ it will show you which drivers are enabled for Special Pool by default â you can then go Back and through the â Create custom settings (for code developers)â as before to get to the complete list and verify everything that is not â Microsoft Corpâ was checked.
(Make sure to check above and below the entries tagged as Microsoft.)
For reference, here were the original instructions:
---------------------------------------
1. Click Start / Run
2. Type "verifier" and press ENTER
3. Select â Create custom settings (for code developers)â , click Next
4. Select â Select individual settings from a full listâ , click Next
5. Check â Special Poolâ tickbox, click Next
6. Select â Select driver names from a listâ , click Next
7. Click on the â Providerâ column header to sort by that field, and select every driver which is not from Microsoft
8. Click Finish, click OK
9. Reboot the server to complete the configuration changes
