Proliant ML110 G5 drivers

I'm installing a Proliant ML110 G5 with Windows server 2003 R2 SP2. All hardware is installed correctly, except 2 devices. Right under the NIC are 2 unknown devices, can't figure out what they are and where I can get drivers. Can anybody help me out here?
Thanks!

Re: Proliant ML110 G5 drivers

all the drivers for these units are part of a pre-configured operating system build that comes on a recovery DVD, you can order the DVD from HP http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=5697-7232a
it's free.

Re: Proliant ML110 G5 drivers

Thanks a lot for your answer. The only problem is I have a Windows Server 2003 32bits version. Do these drivers work with that too?

Re: Proliant ML110 G5 drivers

well windows is on the DVD, running it gives you a full factory fresh windows install, however I think it's possibble to do a "self build" using the oem drivers but I can't remember the chipsets used on these boards. the service manual for them is just"swap unit, swap disks or run restore DVD" they are so basic not much by way of repairable bits.

p.s. points are nice ;~)

Re: Proliant ML110 G5 drivers

Hi Mary-Anne,

W2k3 drivers for the ML110G5 can be found here. Might want to install/verify these:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3577715&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3577708&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1005

There's a setup CD that may also help:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3577708&prodNameId=3577715&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-b49f9ab5674248c88e3d5bfb52

There are several variants of this system and you may need the product number to get exactly what you need. Some of the variants are here:

http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_pagetype=s-001&h_lang=en&h_client=s-s-r2515-1&h_cc=us&h_query=HP+ProLiant+ML110+G5+Server+series

Make sure you have the latest system and peripheral firmware installed.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Re: Proliant ML110 G5 drivers

The drivers listed here do not solve the issue of the two "unknown devices". Somewhere in these forums I cam across a reference to some "nul drivers" which fix the issue - one is something to do with the ILO card, I think, the other I don't recall and I haven't been able to find that thread again.

I'm also sitting with this unsatisfactory arrangement and HP does not deliver that DVD outside of the continental US...

Re: Proliant ML110 G5 drivers

Oh wait - that DVD is for the STORAGE SERVER version of the ML110 G5. No good to me anyway.

I have installed W2K3 on an "ML110 G5 Server", a different variant of that box.
