Trying to use HP Erase Utility 1.70 with iLo virtual Floppy

Hi.

I need to erase ~200 HP Proliant Server by iLo. It has to be remote, because it would need to much time to do this onsite.
The most of the Systems are ML350G4 and G3. Some of the branches have a really poor WAN connection.
Normaly I use the SmartStartCD for erasing tasks, but with the poor WAN connections booting CD-Image will not work. Therefor I am trying the HP Erase Utility which comes as a Floppy Image. It boots perfectly and seems to recognize the SCSI-Arrays. After triggering 'Erase everything' it stalls with 'Processing, pPlease Wait' (now for hours).

Do I have the wrong Utility?

Hi,

If i am not mistaken, the erase utility erases also the ilo settings.
If this is the case, the server or pc where you launced the erase disk looses his connection and waits for an answer that never come.

It just stalles. Ilo keeps running.
the Hardware is listed in HCL paper of this tool.

Hi,

If the erase utility erases the ILO, your connection stays online, but there is no answer returned. Can you still connect to the ilo with the values before the erase.

If no, the ilo is also erased. If yes, check if the other parameters are reset.
