NC7781 on Proliant DL380
Sometimes NC7781 Gigabit is unable to create perfmon data on Windows 2000/2003. HP tells that this is a known issue with the broadcom chipset.
Does anyone know how to force that NIC to create perfmon data? I've already tried reinstalling the NIC and resetting perfmon data without success.
Any workaround?

Re: NC7781 on Proliant DL380
I have seen the same behavior on both 2003 and 2000, DL380 G3s with the NC7781 NIC. When you go to add the counters in perfmon pay careful attention to the adapter name and you'll find that there are a aequence of strange characters after "Gigabit Adapter". Sometimes this is a garbage string, sometimes it is just a few random characters. I'm working on searching for a fix.....

I have also witnessed this problem I am interested to know what driver versions you may have tried?
