How do I reset the security on Managed devices from a central Task

I need to reset the security on our devices as we have rebuilt out CIM server.

The currect agents are set to trust by name. I need to change this, however they are now obviously showing up as 'Security Trust Issue'

Can I run a central task to reset the agents on the nodes

You can do it via "Configure or Repair Agent settings" task or the "Replicate Agent settings" task.

I have the same situation, but this only works if the trust is there.

I've tried doing this and it also changes the trust type to certificates.

I need a way to do this also globally w/o having to go to each server

The work around I've used in the past relies on having a domain account that you can use.

Create a Baseline that includes just the SMH component.
Ensure this component is configured with the Trust setting and certificate.
Use the Deploy PSP to deploy this new baseline PSP with just the SMH.
It shouldn't need a reboot, it effectively just replaces the SMH with the newly configured one.

Check, the SMH component may be the same for both W2K and W2K3 so only one job is required.

You may need another approach for non-Windows servers.
