SMH does not start

Hi All,

- RH4
- Proliant 380
- SIM 5 installed ok
- hpsmh-2.1.0-118.linux.i386.rpm installed ok

Can NOT start hpsmh, when I run the following command, I nothing back, it just seats there:

# service hpsmhd start

Starting hpsmhd:
...

nslook works both ways, by IP or hostname. Any suggestion.

Thanks

Is SNMP installed? You really need to load the entire ProLiant Support Pack. The SMH does not stand alone.

Re: SMH does not start

Could you be more specific on the snmp package that is installed. You require the following package and it is not included in the PSP. I had to build my own custom PSP to include net-snmp-utils.
