ml330 accidentally selected "Erase NVRAM/Boot disk" - how to recover?

We've been having problems with the server since the beginning. It has SBS 2003 installed there. HP support suggested update the BIOS - install RomPaq and then do "Clear NVRam in Advanced menu" in Bios menu. Apparently customer has done it - as oppose to selecting "erase non-volatile RAM". Now server doesn't boot - can't find bootable device. ml330 is set up as IDE RAID-1 with 2 IDE disks. Any ideas on how make it boot Windows (if it is still there) ??

Reinstall O/S and recreate ACU
Your RIS table wiped: and info Lost. Along data still Present, but you can access it as System need to see if it single Logical drive or Configured as array. However when you create Array it kills everything that presently configured or saved to Drives.

if you still see Logical Drive over POST only MBR lost.

I think you are back to a bare metal install. Clearing NVRAM removes user data from the boot drives and the chances of you recovering SBS from that state is IMOA a non runner. Hope you have good backups of the users data!!

As you will know if you have worked with SBS, it is very unforgiving (even at 2003), forcing you to do things the SBS way. Even if you get it running something is likely to go wrong at some time in the future and you will never be able to trust the build.

On the bright side, at least you will have a clean installation and therefore a good foundation on which to move forward. Like you said, you've been having problems with the server since the beginning.

ERD commander allows to "see" data - it was used to copy data across, but system can't see partitions :-(
I gues full reinstall is the only option here

Bit of a bummer, but I think it's the best resolution in the long run.

Good luck.
