Check my understanding on vSAN on HPE Synergy 1200
Hey all,
Still new to vSAN so would love some validation from the experts before I start proposing things. I need >650TB of usable space over 2 HPE Synergy frames, and this is what I'm thinking;
Each frame gets; 2x HPE Synergy D3940 Storage Module, 8x HPE Synergy 480 Gen10 Compute Module. Each storage module will have 8x 960GB SSD, and 32x 15.36TB SSD. Each blade will have 2 disk groups of 1x 960GB cache drive, and 4x 15.36TB capacity drives, totaling 16 blades giving 1185TB of usable space (using FTT2/RAID6)
Does this make sense, does it work, or is there a better way?

Re: Check my understanding on vSAN on HPE Synergy 1200
Overall, your proposal seems well-thought-out and should provide a solid foundation for deploying vSAN with the desired usable space over 2 HPE Synergy frames. It's always a good idea to consult with vSAN experts consultant/ HPE pre-sales team for complete clarity
