This Note advises of HP-UX patches for Oracle. The patches listed are
applicable to Oracle RDBMS Server versions 7.X, 8.X and 9.X and covers both
32 and 64 bit Oracle.

Customers are advised to apply the relevant HP-UX patch bundles (see below), and
then work through the section for 10.20 or 11.X below.

Please note the following:
a. This list cannot be considered an exhaustive list of required patches for
   HP-UX. Customers are advised to contact the HP Response Centre for a
   complete list.
b. Patch Dependancy is not discussed. However, many of the patches listed have
   dependencies. Customers are advised to check patch dependencies at
   http://itresourcecentre.hp.com
c. HP periodically supercede existing patches. Consequently, the given patch
   numbers are UNLIKLEY to be the most current. Customers are advised to
   contact the HP Response Centre to ascertain the current status of any HP
   patch before applying it. More information is available from

d. This Note covers HP-UX 10.20 and 11.X only
e. The 'First fixed by:' info is only provided if a given patch was known

Latest HP-UX Patch Bundles
==========================
From Sep 2001, the HP 'Extension Patch Bundles' have been replaced and are now 
called 'Support Plus Patch Bundles'

In line with these changes, this Note no longer makes references to 'General Release Patch Bundles' 
or 'Hardware Enablement and Critical Patch Bundles'. 
 
Customers are strongly encouraged to apply the latest Support Plus Patch Bundle, or at worst the previous one.
