   As usual, that tells me approximately nothing about what you actually
did, or anything about your MMS problems, but if you're happy, then I'm
happy, I suppose.  (Does it feel as if you've just won the lottery?)

   It's been so long since V7.3 on Alpha, that I don't remember if you
needed a CRTL ECO to make the large-file stuff work right.  A Web search
suggests that VMS73_ACRTL-V0200 may be required.

   As the "_vms" kit contents might suggest, I'd still build GnuPG with
large-file support if I had the prereq's, but it's up to you.  If "MMS
CLEAN" doesn't work with your (still unidentified) MMS, then I'd try
MMK, or else just manually delete the stuff in the appropriate product
directories, such as [...ALPHAL].  Because the large- and small-file
objects and executables are kept in different directories, you should be
able to build either without bothering the other.

   Sure, but if you have any other problems to report, please try to
include the normal, basic info, such as:

      What you did,
      What happened wnen you did it,
      Which version of what you were using to do it.

And, as ever, showing actual commands with their actual output can be
more helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.
