> [...] Can't you find a way to post responses so they appear in line? Sure. I can start up a non-VMS computer for the sole purpose of posting something in this forum. So far, the only way I've gotten HP's Secure Web Browser V1.1-12 on my HP/COMPAQ Professional Workstation XP1000 running HP's OpenVMS V8.3 to post anything on HP's wonderfully shiny new forum system is as an attachment. If there's a way to make this PoS work properly with available software on my VMS workstation, I'm open to suggestions. (Well-tested, reliable suggestions, that is.) You think I like it? It's almost as big a pain as running a second computer whenever I want to do something would be. But not quite. As it is, I've reduced my posting rate to a small fraction of what it might be if posting a simple message were reasonably convenient. It's been almost two months since I complained to OpenVMS.Programs@hp about the problem, and got the usual "we'll look into it" response. I'm not holding my breath. (With my luck, any fix would be a patch which I couldn't access, anyway.) It seems that the attachment must have Record format: Stream_LF, too, or else the browser hangs. It's all good, from one end to the other.
