    <description>&lt;P&gt;Wow, that takes me back a decade or two! OpenVMS added&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Dynamic Volume Expansion&lt;/STRONG&gt; back during v7.3-x. The volume needed to be initialized for future expansion. See the&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;System Manager’s Manual, Volume 1: Essentials&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A volume could be expanded up to a limit based on its internal bitmap size and its internal cluster size. Depending on how large you need to expand, you will probably need to create a &lt;EM&gt;second&lt;/EM&gt; volume and copy everything over. Review the &lt;STRONG&gt;INITIALIZE&lt;/STRONG&gt; options for any subsequent expansions while you're at it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Check over at &lt;A href="https://VMSsoftware.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;VMSsoftware.com&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;for further information and help.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
