backup is not available when using the CLI directly via SSH... error.

When tring to run a command, " controlencryption backup /opt/hpe/ssmc/ssmcbase/etc/keystore" I am presented with the error below. I have seen this error before and do not know how to get around it.

Shoftware version is below as well:

Component Name Version
CLI Server 3.3.2 (MU1)
CLI Client 3.3.2
System Manager 3.3.2 (MU1)
Kernel 3.3.2 (MU1)
TPD Kernel Code 3.3.2 (MU1)

error -

"backup is not available when using the CLI directly via SSH. Please execute this command using the CLI running on a remote machine."

Hi Todd,

The command controlencryption backup <filename> should be run from the remote cli with <filename> being the name of the file on the system running the CLI.

I assume you are directly SSH to the array and trying to perform this action. For this command, need to use 3PAR CLI utility available in software center

Hi Todd,

The file is included with the OS package bundle. Search for HPE_3PAR_OS or 3.3.2 and downlad the bundle.

Click on the right hand side green down arrow and select "get Downloads"

And download the file which has CLI .

And extract the iso image to find the CLI Folder. Setup is inside the same.
