It's really hard to say how much time you need to prepare for a certification. It does depend on your experience and what training you take.

Here is the Exam Prep Guide for the HP0-M64 exam which outlines exactly what topics will be covered in the exam as well as links to training that is available.

Hi Diego,

You may want to consider that the HP Technical Certified I - ArcSight Security [2013], toward which you seem to be working, will go inactive (no more attainable) on October 15, 2014.

A comparable level , and more up to date credential, is HP ATP - ArcSight Security V1, released on May 15. It requires to clear HP0-A100. Exam Prep Guide attached for your convenience...
