The VMware plugin is not designed to expose you to such things such as Initiator Groups. Instead, it allows you to provision to clusters of ESX servers - which is more in tune to what VMware admins would want to see. This is the direct correlation to iGroups on the array....

Scenario: create datastore using the Nimble Storage VMware Web Console plugin

Result: a datastore in vSphere is created in a couple easy steps

Nice to have: choose what Initiator Group the datastore should use

In the past, I was creating the datastore via tje Nimble Storage console and at the same time, so as to organize things, creating Initiator Groups.

The vSphere NS plugin is great, especially if I want the other sysadmins to be able to create the datastores but the lack of this choice places the new datastore in a "random" initiator and not the one I would really like it to go to. I have to go back in to the NS console and clean things up.

Am I missing something here?
