topic Static routes on Nimble in Array Setup and Networking

Dear everybody,

we're in the process of migrating an old LeftHand SAN to Nimble. The VMs using the old LeftHand SAN use iSCSI from within Windows and don't have direct network connectivity towards Nimble, so we cannot easily copy the data from the old volumes to new Nimble volumes since the VMs cannot reach Nimble iSCSI network.

Would it be possible to setup static routing on Nimble for this purpose? We could install a router between the old and the new network, but I guess that Nimble would need to know how to send traffic through that router.

Would adding a static route interfere with operations on Nimble in any way?

Thanks for helping out <LI-EMOJI id="lia_slightly-smiling-face" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"></LI-EMOJI>

Regards,
Peter

After trying it out, it worked like a charm. Adding a new static route didn't interfere with operations in any way.
