How can I extend a volume with synchronous replication, without leaving the Volume Collection?

What is on the volume (what kind of file system)? Is it VMFS or direct-attached iSCSI to a Windows or Linux machine?

Not today.

To extend a SyncEd volume, you need to withdrath volume from volume collection, manually resize both source and destination volume then add the source back to original volume collection (destination volume will added automatically).

Please note that while common snapshot exisits among source & destination volumes, only delta resync wil be performed without full reseeding. Therefore if the LUN expansion operation is fast enough to complete (should be in couple minutes from GUI), resync operation should be pretty quick to finish.
