Nimble change management switch ports

I have existing Nimble I need to move mangment ports on the network

to a new switch. nothing else changes.

each controller is connected with 2 ports for managment

my plan is:

1) move managment ports of standby controller - check ing tp controller IP

2) move managmet prts of active controller - or fist to failover controller

this might happen even if I don't failover the controller.

what do you think is the best or safest way.

You're close. <grin>

Move managment ports of standby controller, check access to diagnostic IP
Failover. You might as well control the process; otherwise it will fail over.
Let them come back up to normal active/standby states.
Move managment ports of (newly) standby controller, check access to diagnostic IP

When the active controller detects a degradation in any of its network connections, it will try to self-remediate.
If data, and all connections are good on the other controller, it will failover.
If management with multiple connections, it will switch to a good connection. If management and there are no alternate connections, it will failover. Which is why a Best Practice is to have redundant management connections: Use four connections, not just two.
