DL20 G9 not seeing smart array p440

I have a DL20 G9 that came with a P440 smart array card in pcie slot 2. I have a pcie ssd in slot one which the server boots off. I am trying to use the 4 SAS drives but the server does not see the P440 in slot 2 or in the bios is states that slot 2 is not populated. I have reseated the card multiple time and the card has power and activity lights. The only smart array listed is the B140i. I have tried to disable it but the is no physical connections to the drive backplane except from the p440. Any ideas?

As per server quickspecs, P440 needs to be populated in slot 2 (Full Height) which I think is already installed as per your description.

Since you have mentioned that in the bios it states that slot 2 is not populated and already reseated the card.

Please try clearing the NVRAM using the "System Maintenance Switch:" and check the result.
