Hello,

1a. Yes, you can update NimbleOS from 5.2.1.1100-1027043-opt to 6.1.2.500-1053701-opt and is supported.

1b. Nimble OS update is transparent to the host, hence no downtime is needed. The software update initially gets applied on standby controller , once it completes successfully, controller failover happens and gets applied on the other.

Please note : HPE storage connection manager is installed on all of the hosts connected, it makes sure that HBA (iscsi/FC) time out values and multipathing parameters are set as per HPE recommendations.

2. DECLINED_SUPPORT means that the array does not have a valid support contract. Have you checked if it has expired recently ?
