Having Issues Adding Nimble Lun ESXi 5.5, 5.1

I am having some issues with adding the nimble volume as a datastore to esxi 5.5 and 5.1 hosts

I see it mounted as a volume under the iscsi hba but cannot add it as a datastore. When I try to add it I get this under the vmkernel log in esxi

Hi Tony,

This looks like there is some connectivity issues with your hosts communicating to the storage device (I/O errors and Sense Data errors). So it looks like there maybe an issue with your physical or ESX network configuration.

Would it be possible to log a call with support as I am sure they will assist and guide you through your ESX networking setup.

yes it was an issue with the initiator ports not set at 9216 mtu.

once that was set, everything started working fine
