Install of NCM on Server 2008

Im trying to get the NCM installed onto a server 2008 box. I have installed the recommended hotfixes, added MPIO and ISCSI initiator, and am now installing the Nimble Windows Toolkit (2.1.5.453).

During the toolkit install its not giving me the 'Nimble Connection Service' option for the NCM. Anyone got any ideas?

I haven't worked with NCM on Server 2008 but check out the note on page 8 of the integration guide, looks like NCS cannot be installed onto Windows Server 2008.

strange, not sure whats going on then, I have ncm installed on another 2008 box.

hmmmmmmm I cant seem to find hotfix details for Server 2008 Enterprise, the documentation I have only has 2008 R2. and some of the hotfixes from that just say 'not appropriate for this system' so now I think I may be missing some hotfixes.

Apologies that is a typo in my blog - NCM for Windows only supports Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012 and 2012 R2

I will update the blog to ensure it is correct

I got an email from Nimble support last night saying the same thing, I was being a bit of a dip and not reading it correctly, looks like I need to upgrade my sever to R2 now.
