I think you have had a Spare Disk before.

Than the Spare Disk goes in the Raid and replace the Failed Disk.

Now the new Disk become the new Spare Disk.

This is to avoid a second Rebuild of the Raid.

Is the Raid now OK and the new Disk is a Spare, than all is fine.

Hi

I have a P2000 G3, One disk drive fails and we replace it, the storage recognizes the disk as a VDISK SP, I expected that the MSA will automatically re-join the disk as an active member of the RAID if this is how it was originally configured, but it didn't happen and the disk stays as spare of the vdisk. How can I re-joing the disk to the raid?

Thanks,

Carolina
