topic cache question/clarification in MSA Storage

i have 2 ml370 g3 servers. connected to 2 ra4100's. all is dual path everything through 2 fiber hub 7's. running W2K Ent. sp4, sql2000 Ent. active/active cluster. servers are on ups which are on a generator, so no power worries.

I have seen some postings here about cache settings and need some clarifications.

i saw some articles about the "write cache enabled" in device manager for w2k os. as it is right now, it is enabled. should this be disabled? and is it different/affect the cache settings on the controllers on the 4100? i assume yes.

we are getting the event id 50 and am wondering if unchecking that write cache enabled will help.

thnx
