Well I upgraded to the latest jre (1.50) and it worked! Unfortunately it broke the Cisco Cluster Management Suite on that PC - It requires jre 1.40. I also tried jre 1.42 (worked with the SAN Switch but not CMS). It looks like I can only run one or the other on a PC. Thanks for your help.

I upgraded the OS on the MSA SAN switches 2/8 from version 3.1.a to 3.2.0. Everything seems to work fine except the Java interface doesn't work anymore where it was working before.

I can telnet to the switches and the passwords are the same. I had a java session going to do the ftp of the new OS and I could even use some of the java screens after the switch rebooted and the new OS was loaded but I would get a message that I needed to shutdown and restart the browser at the admin tab because of the change in versions. Once I did that, it never worked again. It divides the browser window into the usual three panes but then says I have a Java problem and need v1.4 which is what is installed. What happened?

Ah, yes... The standard Java mess.

"Write once - cause problems everywhere." :-(

Current release notes (AA-RUQYD-TE, Jan 2005) suggest that you use "1.4.1_03".
