    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the disks are not being utilized, they will spin down to a slower speed. This is consistent with the SAS protocol algorythm followed by all arrays and hard drives&amp;nbsp;The performance of the drive nor the array is&amp;nbsp;impacted.       <title>Disk transfer rate mismatch</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Customer has MSA 2050 and all the disks are 12G transfer rate but in the SMU the disk transfer rate shows as 6G.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can somebody please help to answer why is that so? Customer says "what is the point of having 12G drives when it runs on 6G" ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Disk model -&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;EH000600JWCPL&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SMU screenshot attached.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sadiq Pasha&lt;/P&gt;</description>
