Hi,

I understand that in 3PAR, the available Disks are different due to OS version limitations, but does MSA have firmware and Disk compatibility like 3PAR?

In the case of MSA, I would like to know if the available Disks are limited by the OS version (Firmware) when adding a disk.

The target products are as follows
Model: MSA2052
FW: VL270R001

Thanks,

Hi,

I did this over the years with all the MSA generations since MSA 1000 (Compaq) and never had an issue with Disk Firmware by adding a new Drive.
But it's a good idea to Update also Drive Firmware on regular base, because there are sometimes issues found, especially with SSD going Offline and such things.

Cali

Hello.

MSA firmware information is available at the URL below.
According to that, there seems to be no disk limit.

https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00054232en_us

Please use this for your reference.
