MSA 2060 Controller issue

Hello everyone,

I am new to the SAN devices. Recently I have a request to update some configurations on my two MSA 2060 boxes like the notification emails, SMTP server etc. I have done one of the two MSA2060. (SAN-A).

But whenever I tried to access to the other MSA2060, the box (SAN-B) with the Web access was failed and it keeps looping on the login page. Some how after a certain time, I can manage to get into the page but when I access to the Notification page to update the SMTP server etc, once I click Set. It will keep looping as well. I later found out that there is an SSH session I can get into it. I changed all the request information successfully. I can also "TEST" by sending email.

So, in this case, it looks like the WebUI for the SAN-B is not functioning properly. Can I do the CLI - restart mc to make this WebUI back to function?

Cheers,

Timothy

Hi,

yes, restart MC will reboot the Management Part of the Controller, without disrupting the Storage IO.

(SC, is for the Storage Controller)

However, these settings are only done on one of the two Controllers and replicated internally to the other.

So, there is no need to set it on both Controllers.

Cali
