Help Please !! Looking for Documentation on

Setting up New Drives added to EVA 3000.
Creating Luns & How to present them.
Setting up Server to Boot off EVA3000 Drive.
Adding a drive to a Blade who has a local bootable disk.

Our SAN tech quit and we have no documentation to go on.

Sorry if the Questions are rudamentry but we are starting from Zero. Any help would be so so special Thanks

Some info missing here. Switches? Type of blades?

Most of this is not too bad, once you get into the command view eva software.

Locate your storage management server - It's usually a DL380. If setup properly, you should have a link on your desktop that takes you into the Insight Mgmt screen. You'll be prompted to login. Defaults account is "administrator" with a password of "hpinvent". Hopefully you're SAN guy left you with accounts/passwords.

Once logged into Insight Manager, you should see a link on the left side of the page called "command view eva". Run that.

This web-based utility will let you manage your EVA, including adding new disks into existing disk groups.

Help us out, by giving us more details about your environment.

Let me know if you can access the command view tool, and we can go from there.

We have BL 30, 35 And 45 Blades

Three racks MAX

1st rack is all booting from the SAN
2 & 3 Racks local boot

We have 4 9100 Series Cisco Switche 2 per Fibre for redundancy.

I see all the documentation & have pretty out a lot of it But need to get to the meat.
How do do the above procedures

You need password access to Command view eva, and a login to your cisco switches.

Once you have those passwords, we can continue.
