topic MSA 1000 in MSA Storage

Hi all,
I have just added 6 300gb 10k drives to an MSA30 shelf that is attached to an MSA 1000. This shelf already had 8 300gb drives in a single logical drive. I would like to know if i select the expand option to expand the current 8 disk drive to the 6 new disk, will this create one 14 disk array? By expanding i am assuming that is what it is doing just wanted to make sure. Also, how long will it normally take to expand to the 6 drives with the expand priority set to low.

Thanks,
Also, Is there a logical volume size limit on the MSA 1000? I have 14 300 gbs drives that i would like to set as one RAID 5 logical volume. The largest i can set is like 2.09 TB. Please Help.

Thanks
Joe

There is a limit of 2tb because you reach the maximum nb of geometry data (heads, ..)
