<title>topic adding a controller to an MSA1000 in MSA Storage</title>
    <link>https://community.hpe.com/t5/msa-storage/adding-a-controller-to-an-msa1000/m-p/958791#M3918</link>
<description>I have purchased a second controller for an MSA1000 enclosure. It currently is running firmware 4.32 and does not have selective storage running. I'd like to get it up to speed so I can connect a few more servers to it (it has the fiber switch module) in an active/active config. Can someone offer advice on the order of operations to get from here to there (v7 firmware, zoned, second controller in the box) along with any stories from the trenches on doing this.</description>
