No, sorry. "multipulse" is the nickname for the multipath solution for Emulex-adapters. This thread is about Qlogic adapters whose driver - as far as I know - does not have a public nickname.

Hi people,
How can I install or configure a mpio software in a SUSE 10 with an EVA4100?

Mpio is only for windows, so I read about the Device Mapper feature, the multipath.conf file or the qlogic driver (its for a blade with the qlogic mezzanine)

Any idea?

Thank you

Jorge:

The qlogic driver has built in support for multipathing. You do not need any additional software.

The qlogic driver is for any qlogic hba, not just the mezzanine card for blade servers.

Steven

It's called the "Multipulse" driver. It also switches off the redundant paths, so as far as I know, multipath is not not load-balancing but only redundancy.

Robert Campbell
