Has anyone figured out a way to script pulling the IEEE or WWN ID for a CPQKGPSA HBA?

We have a good deal of servers and trying to pull those numbers is a very manual process.

If you have a lot of servers ou might want to try HBAnyware from emulex. Currenly I don't have a way of pulling it with WMI or something. Another way of doing it to have a look at HP Systems Insight manager. I think ou will find some info in there. You can create reports so you have the possibility to get an overview of all your servers with the corresponding HBA's.

Regards
Erwin van Londen
HP Master ASE SAN Architect

Thanks for the response. Actually, HBAnyare isn't recommended or supported by HP. And, I woould not want to have to load this on a production high visibility server.

But.. the Insight Manager solution is interesting.

With some success, I've used hbaverify http://sourceforge.net/projects/hbaverify/

it's version 0.1, caveat emptor :)

/charles

Looks like HBAnyware is now supported - there is a downloadable on this page:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?pnameOID=297073&locale=en_US&taskId=135&prodSeriesId=297139&prodTypeId=12169&swEnvOID=181
