Perhaps if I explain my situation a little better, I might get an answer. We have C class blades with Cisco ethernet switches (we're a cisco shop) and Brocade SAN switches connected to an EVA. We can't use virtual connect because of the Cisco switches, but we're trying to set things up where we can swap out a blade in the event of a failure without having to rezone or remask. I mentioned in the last post about Qlogic HBAs, but from what I understand the Brocade Access Gateway can also help with this. Any info to help set this up would be appreciated.

Does anyone know if there is there a way to assign a virtual WWN to a Qlogic HBA that supports NPIV on an HP-UX system without using virtual connect? On other OS's such as windows, there is a way using SANsurfer, but I don't know if there is a way on HP-UX v2 or higher.
