MSA2000 - Management

I am used to managing older msa1000 storage through the server based HP Array Config Web Interface.

just set up a msa2000 but the Server cannot see the msa2000 raid controller through the utility mentioned above. Tried this through a fibre fabric switch and direct fibre to the san. Have I done something wrong or is this managed through the msa built in web interface which I have managed to access?

Use the web interface. If using DHCP use the Serial interface then type
Show Network -Parameters
to find out the Leased IP addresses for the MSA controllers, otherwise:
Default IP's (SM=Class C, GW=10.0.0.1)
http://10.0.0.2 !Controller A
http://10.0.0.3 !Controller B
Default UserAccount=manage
Default password= !manage
you can also use the serial port to set your own IP.
then just browse to the IP, login and manage your MSA2000

Does that mean HP have changed the way the MSA is managed? Just want to make sure that I have done nothing wrong. Merry xmas.

yes, the MSA2000 is a different animal. It is not managed with the ACU like the MSA1000/1500....Please assign points if this helps....
