Hello,

I want to upgrade the firmware our MSA1000 on different sites.

I would like know if it can be done remotely or if I'm forced to be in front of the machine.

The upgrade can be done remotely, but if I remember correctly, you must do a hard power cycle to activate the new firmware. And I've seen at least one box doing a lock-up during boot.

Switch it on and off again.

Make sure the systems accessing it are powered off before.

Can I be connected to the fiber channel or do I have to be plugged into the serial port of the MSA1000 ?

I mean a hard power reset.
Push the power button :)

The firmware upgrade is done through the Fibre Channel connection with the update program running on the server's operating system.
