      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
I want to upgrade the firmware our MSA1000 on different sites.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
I would like know if it can be done remotely or if I'm forced to be in front of the machine.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>The upgrade can be done remotely, but if I remember correctly, you must do a hard power cycle to activate the new firmware. And I've seen at least one box doing a lock-up during boot.</description>

      <description>Switch it on and off again.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Make sure the systems accessing it are powered off before.</description>

      <description>The firmware upgrade is done through the Fibre Channel connection with the update program running on the server's operating system.</description>
