To configure presenting the VMFS luns to my windows box do you just present it to the windows box along with the other presented servers? For instance:

Present to all 4 of LUN2?

Esx1
Esx2
Esx3
WindowsServer1
If you want to do a 'SAN'-based VCB, yes, the Windows proxy needs Fibre Channel access to the VMFS volumes.

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!

You must prepare the proxy before presenting the VMFS volumes (e.g. turn off Windows' automounting) - please check the VMware "Virtual Machine Backup Guide".

I have done the automount disable command. I found this guide that is more helpful than the vmbackup guide.

http://blog.vmpros.nl/2009/04/21/vmware-10-steps-to-install-vcb-v15/

My question was more on EVA presenting but from experience I just presented 1 lun for testing that has a few development machines and presented it to the windows vcb proxy server and assigned it to LUN1 even though the LUN was already presented to esx1,2, and 3 ad LUN4.

Ah, the LUN address...

Well, VMware has improved their software to better identify a datastore. These days you can even run the VCB proxy with MPIO.
