    <description>:)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;No the switch should not be affected.&lt;BR /&gt;And if that controller is aleary in a lock-up state it shouldnt either cause any IO problems when reseating it as its already failed. &lt;BR /&gt;Or do i misunderstand you when you say "locked up"?</description>

      <title>StorageWorks MSA 1000</title>

      <description>My msa1000 has two 2/8 switches installed and two controllers.  I need to reboot the controller on the right.  I locked it up and cannot access it from the CLI.  Because this controller is locked up i cannot access the other controller either.  &lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Connected to the f/c switch is another san which is in production.  If i remove this controller from the box will the switch be affected?&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
I need the switch to remain up and unaffected during the controller removal.  How does this work?</description>

      <description>Contacted HP Support and they said "You Crazy!"  Shut it all down and bring it all backup up, Fool!</description>
