Hi, sounds like some basic network troubleshooting is in order.

Do you have link on the port? - Green led on the port in the management module and on the switch.
Is the switch port up? Maybe it needs to be enabled or so?
Bad cable?

Hi all,

We have an EVA4400 with HSV300 switches and recently (physically) moved it to a different location. No IP changes were made to any of the systems (i.e. network did not change) and when I re-connected everything all came up just fine in that EVA is good and I can connect to CommandView just fine.

What I can't seem to connect to any more is the EVA440 Management GUI. When trying to connect to the URL ( https://[IP addres]:2373) I can't seem to connect to it. I tried pinging the IP but no luck. I also tried doing an nslookup on the IP but the DNS server cannot find the IP.

I guess I can try to connect a laptop to the LAN port and see how that goes, but given that I can no longer ping the IP or find it in nslookup, I'm thinking that one of our network folks has changed something somewhere.

Like I said, the IP should not have changed (nor do I want to change it)...any suggestions?

Thanks

Mauro

When you are physically near the EVA, you can try resetting the management module. Refer page 25 in the document http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01883137/c01883137.pdf for details.
