Hello,

I want to use the emu on a MSA30, but the problem is that i don't know how to get it work.
Can some one tell me how too get it work?

How exactly are you tring to "use" it?

The EMU is an environmental monitoring unit and generall does not need to be accessed except for advanced diagonistics and/or updates by a trained professional.

As far as I know, there is no end user interface.

The EMU operates ono its own, reportong in the health of various components in the MSA30. This is automatic/default behavior.

Thank you for you're answer.
The reason for the question is that i must find a way too get the serialnumbers of every msa30 we have.

Is there any other way too get the sn? Or is the only way too look at the right side of the msa30?

This is true, the EMU is just for monitoring the MSA30 enclosure condition, if you need to know the serial number of MSA30 enclosure without looking to the right side of the enclosure try to use the ACU management tool.

You should be able to get the serial number by using the survey utility or the Insight Manager Agents (Systems Management Homepage), or even SIM. (Assuming that the MSA's are attached to HP servers).
