Hi all,

I dont have a console cable for my msa200, however i know the IP address so can get a ssh prompt, the web view just gives a blank screen.

i understand that i might need to restart the controller.

ive tried all the default passwords via the ssh login but none work, any suggestions other than getting a console cable? and if so where can i get one?

You can remove the switch/network from the equation and connect the ethernet cable directly to the management port of the controller.

The default IP is 10.0.0.2/24 on controller A and 10.0.0.3/24 on controller B.

Change your service laptop NIC IP Settings accordingly.

If above doesn't work out then reseat Controller A. Verify, if you have access to the GUI.

If not then perform a powercycle for the MSA.

However, If this is a production array then I would suggest getting a console cable then restarting an Array first!

What generation is this MSA2000?

Any response to ping / telnet / browser?

I have an MSA2000 which only presents a blank screen in the web browser. I have telnet access, but I'm not familiar with the interface and the browser is far more friendly.

I have restarted both management controllers with no effect. Any ideas what I can do next?
