    <description>Paul,&lt;BR /&gt;The 5 disks with red lights have failed.  From the message on the controller "Volume 1 Rebuild Failure" I would say that the five disks were in the RAID set and that is over the redundancy limit that you built in to the system.  IE if it was RAID 5 with a spare then you can lose two drives (assuming the after the first failure there was enough time to rebuild to the hot spare).  If you were using RAID 0+1 then there are more combinations.&lt;BR /&gt;Have you tried to shut down and bring the array back online?  The disks may come back up for a time and allow you to backukp the data and replace the drives.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Glenn</description>

      <description>Have a compaq MSA1000 SAN and have following errors:-&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
- On one controller says "Array controller disabled"&lt;BR /&gt;
- On other controller says "Volume 1 Rebuild Failure"&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
5 of the disks have red lights on them all the rest are ok. This array is exchange system so really urgent.&lt;BR /&gt;
