topic Openview Storage Virtual Replicator 4.0 with MSA 1000 in HPE MSA Storage

I try to use Openview storage virtual replicator 4.0 with MSA 1000 to have access to a snapshot fonction but
when I try to do a new pool, vsr said there is no storage units available.
It is impossible, because I have a SAN MSA 1000 with 500 gig unallocated.
If I use the hp array configuration utility, I can see the 5 HD of the MSA 1000
and I'm able to do an array if I want on the same server (DL360) where the vsr
is install.

Why I could not see the MSA storage units in the SVR ?

An other question: Is it possible to use SVR on a DELL server ?

SVR will/should work on any server.

SVR uses RAW Allocated disk space to create pools.

The proper order for creation would be....

IN ACU...

1. Allocate disk space (Logical Disks) to your host.
2. Confirm the host see's the raw disk. DO NOT WRITE Signature.

In SVR...

1. Create new pool, you should see raw available disks.
2. Create Virtual Disks.
3. Create Snapshots of disks.

Steven
