It depends on the OS, but in most cases it is the good old ACU (array configuration utility).

Thank Torsten,

I am using an old Windows 2K3;

where I can search for old version of ACU?

Antonio M.

Go to hpe.com drivers section, select your server (e.g. DL380G6 or something), select WIndows 2003 and download it. Maybe you already have the hp driver bundles already installed?

The MSA30 is just a "dumb" disk chassis. Connected to a plain SCSI controller you see all the disks, nothing to configure. Connected to a smart array controller (call this a default) you use ACU to configure logical drives and RAIDs.

My trouble is a more complex.

I have a DL380G4 running VMWARE with local smart disk array. This server is connected to an old external MSA 030.

Perhaps, I also colud use a Linux version, if running on VMWARE layer but I prefer do not change VMWARE environment.

I hope to install software on on virtual server and manage MSA 030 from it.
