Thanks,
more than a SQL problem I think it's related to the way ASM works

I would think about two options

1)Allocate space on the storage using the User Defined Application Wizard, then connect it to SQL using a specific mount point. I tried this some time ago but the databases appeared under User Defined and not under SQL

2) Find a way to directy create the database on the storage from SQL. But I have not found a way to do this..

It's strange to me having a way to migrate and not something to create.
I moved all of my SQL Server databases on the AiO using the "Host a SQL Server Database" wizard.
What is still not clear to me is: how do I create a new database on my SQL Server while hosting the datafiles directly on the storage without migrating them?

Thanks

my understanding AIO only host sql database
(like exchange maiboxes)
so creating database should be done
at sql server side nor on AIO itself

AIO is a storage solution

sound make sense for you ?
JYP
