AIO 1200 Migration

Hi

I have been given a task of migrating from one AIO1200 to another and am wondering if the following is possible,

I have been sent all disks from one AIO 1200 - including the two OS disks.

Does anyone know if it is possible for me to place all those disks into another AIO1200 (one with all of its disks removed)?

If I do this, will the RAID groups etc from the first AIO 1200 be visible?

Hi Mike,

As long as you use the same firmware in both systems (do not update to 5.20 as there is an issue with that firmware on AiOs - 4.12 is the latest that you should use) and place the disks in exactly the same bays, you should be ok. When booting, pay close attention to the controller BIOS messages and when prompted, press F8 to go into the controller bios. While there verify that the logical drives exist as expected. If that all checks out, then boot the system normally. I asume you have backups of the data that is on the disks ?

I do not know the firmware from the other Server.

If i upgrade to the latest will it still work? or do we need to be on identical versions?
