Hi Folks,

we've bought a x1600 G2 at the beginning of this year. Right now we have 2 windows event log error message while booting the server (I translate it from German so please be kind).

1)

Source: DistributedCOM

ID: 10010

Description: The server "{7D1933CB-86F6-4A98-8628-01BE94C9A575}" did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

2)

Source: Service Control Manager

ID: 7034

Description: The "HP AlertService" service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s).

Error 1) returns every day, Error 2) returns when I try to start the service manually. I've done a search for "{7D1933CB-86F6-4A98-8628-01BE94C9A575}" and found the "Virtual Disk Service". All errors have been there after the first start of the server.

Here's a description of our System:

HP x1600 G2 6TB Storage

2x 146GB SAS RAID 1 for the System (HP default)

6x 1TB SATA for the data

Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 (HP default)

1x USB 2TB for Windows System Backup

I've searched the web for a solution, but haven't found any. Newest Windows Updates installed, newest updates from HP installed.

Please help us out

Greets Johannes
