Hello, I have a StoreEasy 1660 Storage with a RAID 5 volume of 10 2.5" SAS disks of 2 TB each.
I want to add a new RAID1 volume with two 14TB disks. Is it possible? or would there be a problem?

Hi, There are several variants of storeeasy 1660 storage server. Product number allows you to distinguish between variants. ex: RJ76A. If the server has free hard drive slots and supports 14TB SAS disks, you should be able to create new array and logical drive using 14TB disks. You will need to use smart storage administrator for older model controllers like P816i to create new array and logical drive. Please ensure to check with HPE reseller about hard drive compatibility before proceeding with the purchase.

Hi ArunKKR, thanks for your reply. My server is a StoreEasy 1660 Storage (Product ID: Q2P73B).

Can I check the compatibility of the disks on some website?

Adding a note from quickspecs sheet here "When adding drives to the any open LFF slots for the models above, Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends as a best practice to use all internal data drives of the same type and capacity."
