As pointed out in the Quick Spec under Optical Devices, the HP dvd300e works as well as the HP dvd200e. The HP DVD Movie Writer dc3000 does NOT work with the 1200s .. it hangs at the initial Quick Restore screen, although it works with a StorageWorks NAS 1500s.
