I have a HP 718 DLT autoloader that is displaying the message, "no drive". The backup software will not work as it says there is no drive as well. I cannot find any resolution to this.

Please advise. Thank you very much.

Hello,
Did you connect all Scsi cable to the back of the autoloader, and the terminator?
best regards,

This is most likely a hardware problem. Take a look at the following thread: http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/0,,0x016d42308663d611abdb0090277a778c,00.html
